Scheduling is the allocation of available employees to a defined set of tasks within a given time period and the IntellinetStaff Scheduling module makes staff scheduling very easy.

This is particularly so in dynamic industries where flexible labour contracts and high staff turnover are common and, prescriptive, auto-scheduling models are impractical.

The weekly schedule is automatically built for the outlet manager with the available employees and their working patterns provided as a ‘best fit’ on the weekly schedule with any holidays or absences overlaid onto the schedule. The manager will be notified of any schedule ‘gaps’ caused by holidays or absence so that the appropriate action can be taken.
Higher sales activity workload plans will produce schedule ‘gaps’ over and above the base week schedule. The outlet manager can quickly add staff to the schedule using IntellinetStaff’s ‘point and click’ method. This allows the manager to select a task, highlight a time period on the schedule and IntellinetStaff quickly presents a list of employees who are available, can carry out the task and have contract or rostered hours available: clicking on the required employee will fill the schedule. When IntellinetStaff provides the list of suitable employees available to carry out the task, the manager can quickly review the selected employee’s weekly schedule and availability, to assist in the decision-making process.
